Will my dentist still use the drill?

Your dentist can use the dental laser to treat many dental problems and won't have to use conventional instruments as often. However, the dental laser does not totally relpace current instruments.

What kind of after-effects can I expect?

The dental laser often eliminates the unpleasant after-effects associated with many dental procedures -- soreness, bleeding, inflamation, packing, stitches, and numbness. And it creates no known negative after-effects of its own.
