Is the laser safe?

Yes. Your dentist can demonstrate its safety by shining the laser beam on your hand. As you will see, several seconds will pass before you even feel any warmth. This is because the dental laser does its work with no more than three watts of power. A recommended precaution during laser treatment is that the dental team and patient wear protective eyeglasses to filter out the laser beam.

What kind of procedures can the laser perform?

It can be used for a number of new procedures and helps with many conventional procedures. Your dentist and staff are best qualified to explain how it may be used in your case.
